POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an opening for an Electronics Technician with hands-on experience in an electronics lab of a manufacturing facility.
ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
o Ability to effectively communicate status, technical issues, and general information by various means at all levels in a team-oriented environment.
o Must be able to read, understand and interpret electronic schematics, electronic drawings, mechanical drawings, test and assembly instructions, and specifications.
o Ability to hand-solder complex narrow pitch surface-mount devices and similar packages and be able to assemble and test RF cables such as SMA, N-type and other cable/harness connectors.
o Knowledge and experience with setting up and operating test equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other types of test equipment.
o Proficient with hand tools used for assembly and maintenance of systems; may operate drill press, band saw, shear, brake, hand drills, or other tools to fabricate parts, brackets, terminal boards and chassis.
o Must have general computer skills including MS Office Word and Excel.
o Must be able to meet occupational requirements including the ability to lift, move and walk with 40 lbs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS::
o One to three years of related experience working in, and facilitating work in, an electronics lab environment in a manufacturing facility with a proven record of success meeting expectations, schedules, cost and following established processes and protocols.
o Associate or Technical Degree in Electronics Engineering.
o Ability to read, understand and interpret electronic schematics, electronic drawings, mechanical drawings, test and assembly instructions, and specifications.
o Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.
o Ability to set up and operate test equipment.
o Ability to operate hand tools used for assembly and maintenance of systems.
o Must be able to lift, move, and walk with 40 lbs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
o ISCET Certification.
