Web Developer



Our developer will be responsible for providing innovative solutions to our growing line of PayClock Online web applications. They will be able to navigate complex issues independently, all the while providing clean and efficient coding solutions. Our web developer must be able to participate within a SCRUM team environment in a timely and responsive manner. Our Developer will need to stay up-to-date with rapidly developing technologies and methodologies. Our Developer must be dedicated to the core Lathem principles and values, and to the culture of the company as a whole.



o   Developing, enhancing, and maintaining our customer facing web applications.

o   Provide UI/Web solutions for internal teams and tools.

o   Diagnose, research, and remedy complex issues around these applications.

o   Able to successfully work in a fast-paced, multi-directional, Agile environment with an emphasis on SCRUM practices, procedures and beliefs.

o   Able to proactively communicate with members of the SCRUM team.

o   Stay up-to-date with new technologies, tooling, and development strategies.

o   Thoroughly test features and bug fixes before handoff to QA; coordinate with QA needs for item testing.

o   Able to review specifications, technical designs, and mockups to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

o   Ensure that code is regression free, properly documented, and unit tested; all code must meet the Lathem standard.

o   Able to estimate, prioritize, and plan development activities.

o   Driven to work independently and able to self-organize.



o   Clear written and verbal communication skills.

o   Experience with the Microsoft stack: .NET Framework, .NET Core, MVC, SQL Server.

o   HTML, JavaScript, and CSS experience: 3+ years.

o   Version control systems: 1-3 years.

o   Software Development experience: 3+ years.

o   Proficiency building custom controls using HTML/JS/CSS.

o   Experience with Visual Studio.

o   Proficiency in writing C# and JavaScript code.

o   Experience with consuming web services.

o   Able to learn new technologies quickly and take on research opportunities independently.

o   Ability to work within a Scrum team structure and participate in associated activities.

o   Home internet and network capabilities.



o   BS/MS degree in Computer Science.
