ATLANTA, Ga. - March 17, 2003 - - Philip Seagraves, former director of sales and marketing for Intuit, Inc., has been appointed director of business development for Lathem Time Corporation, one of world's leading designers and manufacturers of time and labor management products for small business. Seagraves will be responsible for leading initiatives that will expand the Lathem product line to new systems that will integrate with Lathem's existing time and labor management solutions.

"Lathem is a recognized leader in its industry, with a great brand name and reputation for providing businesses with high-quality products," Seagraves said. "I'm excited to be back in my home town of Atlanta, where Lathem has been a mainstay company for 84 years."

Seagraves said Lathem will introduce new systems to complement Lathem's core time and labor management solutions business.

"When people think of high-quality time clocks and full-featured time keeping systems for small business, they think of Lathem," he said. "In the future, Lathem will be synonymous with a wide range of solutions that help companies get the most for their labor dollar - frequently a company's single biggest expense. For years, Lathem customers have been asking for help in other areas related to their employees. And now, we'll have solutions."

He also worked as group marketing manager for the Employer Services Group, where he was responsible for Intuit's payroll product and service strategy and development with various channels including accountants. Before joining Intuit, he was director of marketing for payroll services at ADP in Atlanta, where he was responsible for all ADP national accounts payroll product marketing strategies and initiatives.

During his eight years with the company, Seagraves held a variety of marketing-related positions, including payroll product manager and director of strategic planning. He also worked as a district manager for Lanier Worldwide, an office equipment company, and held various positions with IBM.

Seagraves earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Georgia and serves on the boards of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the American Marketing Association, for which he served as vice president of the Atlanta Chapter.
