LATHEM
TIME ANNOUNCES A FAST, EASY AND ACCURATE TIME AND ATTENDANCE
SOLUTION FOR QUICKBOOKS CLIENTS
ATLANTA, Ga. – July 20, 2004 --
Lathem Time Corporation, one of the world’s leading
designers and manufacturers of time and attendance products
for small business, today announced that its No. 1-selling
automated timekeeping system, PayClock® EZ, shares data with
Intuit’s (NASDAQ: INTU) QuickBooks® 2004 Pro, Premier and
Enterprise products. This exchange of critical data helps
small businesses who use these products manage their
business more efficiently – making payroll preparation fast,
easy, and accurate.
“PayClock EZ 2004 expands Lathem's lead
in the automated time and labor management industry by
introducing more options and easier connectivity to help
small businesses proactively manage time and attendance
costs, including seamless integration with QuickBooks 2004
products,” said Philip Seagraves, Lathem Time’s director of
business development.
PayClock EZ 2004 features many
improvements over the 2003 version, including fixed weekly
rotating schedules, a global holiday time option and
QuickBooks support.
PayClock supports behind-the-scenes
seamless integration with the latest 2004 QuickBooks
products. This integration ensures employees’ pay codes and
payable hours are always up to date and synchronized between
the two applications, PayClock also now shares data through
an export file with Intuit's Complete Payroll software.
PayClock EZ is the No. 1-selling time and
attendance system for small business with well over 20,000
installations in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The
PayClock EZ system is currently available at 2,000 retail
locations, including Office Depot and Staples super stores
for less than $500. The low purchase price offers payroll
clients a more affordable total solution than reoccurring
monthly lease models offered by some payroll providers.
PayClock's automation reduces payroll
preparation time by up to 80 percent and eliminates
inaccuracies associated with manual calculations, saving up
to 3 percent in payroll costs. The integration allows
companies to easily share employee hours with QuickBooks
applications without having to re-key information in both
systems. “This automatic data transfer prevents data errors,
improves overall efficiency and productivity, and allows
small businesses to concentrate on their core competencies,
instead of spending time on administrative processes such as
payroll and timekeeping,” Seagraves said.
