LATHEM TIME KEEPS UP WITH DEMAND FOR A
PUNCH-TO-PAYCHECK SYSTEM BY SHARING DATA WITH QUICKBOOKS® 2003
PRODUCTS
Integration
with QuickBooks Helps Small Businesses Save Time and Money
ATLANTA, Ga. - March 17, 2003 - -
Lathem Time Corporation,
one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of time
and attendance products for small business, today announced
that its No. 1-selling automated timekeeping system,
PayClock® EZ, shares data
with Intuit’s (NASDAQ: INTU) latest QuickBooks® Pro 2003 and
QuickBooks Premier 2003 products. This exchange of critical
data, such as employee addresses and hours worked, helps small
businesses who use both products to manage their business more
efficiently – saving them valuable time, money and resources.
Last year, Lathem Time was among other leading application developers
chosen by Intuit as a beta developer for the QuickBooks 2002
products. As a result of that integration, demand for Lathem’s
PayClock EZ product increased 20 percent, validating the need
for an integrated timekeeping and payroll solution for small
businesses.
“Our PayClock system continues to seamlessly transfer employee
data into QuickBooks for use in payroll and other accounting
processes without duplicated data-entry efforts,” said Lance
Whipple, director of marketing at Lathem Time. “It’s a complete
‘punch-to-paycheck’ solution.”
The integration allows companies to easily share employee information,
hours worked and other crucial data with QuickBooks without
having to re-key information in both systems. “This automatic
data transfer prevents data errors, improves overall efficiency
and productivity, and allows small businesses to concentrate
on their core competencies instead of spending time on administrative
processes such as payroll and timekeeping,” Whipple said.
Lathem Time is a member of the Intuit Developer Network, which
helps third-party developers enable data integration between
their applications and QuickBooks products. For the second year
in a row, Lathem Time was chosen to be among of select group
of application developers to be a member of Intuit’s 2003 Power
Launch program.
“Small businesses have varying business needs, and many use
software such as PayClock EZ in addition to QuickBooks to manage
their finances,” said Esther Kruijver, director of the Intuit
Developer Network at Intuit. “By working together, Intuit and
companies like Lathem Time are helping small businesses get
the most out of their software in the most efficient and cost-effective
way possible.”
