Lathem Time Announces a Low-Cost Time and Attendance
Solution for Paychex Clients
ATLANTA, Ga. - October 17, 2003 --

with Paychex’s (NASDAQ: PAYX) Paylink® software, a desktop payroll
solution for small- to medium-sized businesses, and Paychex's
Major Market Services Preview® software, a PC-based option for
larger businesses with more complex payroll and benefits needs.
This exchange of critical data helps small businesses who use
both products to manage their business more efficiently – saving
them valuable time, money and resources.

The PayClock EZ system is currently available at 2,000 retail
locations including Office Depot and Staples super stores for
less than $500. The low purchase price offers payroll
clients a more affordable total solution than reoccurring monthly
lease models offered by some payroll providers.
PayClock's
automation reduces payroll preparation time by up to 80 percent
and eliminates inaccuracies associated with manual calculations,
saving up to 3 percent in payroll costs. The integration
