New Software Offers Employers a Complete Punch to Payroll
Time and Attendance System
February 1998
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Lathem Time Corporation announces the arrival
of OmniPort for Windows, the new time and attendance software
with an easy to use graphical interface for Windows 95 or Windows
3.11. OmniPort for Windows uses the power of the PC to enhance
Lathem's breakthrough Omni:Chron II automated time clock.
Together, OmniPort for Windows software and the Omni:Chron II
automated time clock offer a complete time management solution,
from punch to payroll. The Omni:Chron II is an automated clock
that tracks and totals time and attendance data. Employees simply
punch in and out with re-usable credit card style badges. The
Omni:Chron II is fast and simple to operate, keeping track of
punches, schedules, shifts, and department assignments for up
to 201 employees per clock.
With the new OmniPort for Windows, users can easily access the
stored data in the Omni:Chron II in order to track data from
multiple Omni:Chron terminals, configure reports, and export
payroll data directly to ADP® or Paychex® payroll programs.
OmniPort for Windows features an easy to use graphical interface
and enhanced reporting features, making it superior to its DOS-based
predecessor. While the Omni:Chron II has been available as a
stand-alone time and attendance system since the early 1980s,
the new OmniPort for Windows offers numerous timesaving features,
such as the ability to print regularly accessed groups of reports
automatically during the payroll cycle. With OmniPort for Windows
users can also communicate with both local and remote clocks,
making OmniPort for Windows and the Omni:Chron II an ideal choice
for businesses with multiple locations.
