DATABASE REPAIR UTILITY Repairing a Corrupted PayClock Database |

2. While in File Manager ( Windows 3.11 ) or Windows Explorer ( Windows 95 / 98 ) go to the PayClock application directory, normally C:\PC1000 for PayClock 1000 or C:\PC2000 for PayClock 2000. Within the application directory there will be a number of files and directories, locate the UTILITY \ DBREPAIR directory. Inside of the DBREPAIR directory there will be a REPAIR.EXE file. 3. Double click on the REPAIR.EXE file. The following screen will display: ![]() 4. From the File Location: list, select the directory that the PayClock application is installed to, normally C:\PC1000 for PayClock 1000 or C:\PC2000 for PayClock 2000. Double click on the directory and in the File Name: list box either pc1000.exe or pc2000.exe will display. 5. Click on the Repair button, this will start the repair process, you will see the following screen: ![]()
![]() If you have PC1000 software: 1. Start the PC1000 software and poll the terminal as you normally would. 2. Go to the Timecard and check the polled data. Any edits made in the timecard prior to running the database repair will have to be made again. If you have the PC2000 software without Terminal Manager: 1. If you are running the PC2000 software without Terminal Manager you may not be able to recover your data. Please contact Technical Support for assistance. If you are have the PC2000 software with the Terminal Manager: 1. Start the PC2000 software and switch to Terminal Manager. 2. Select the terminal(s) from the All Terminals list and double click on the terminal(s). The Terminal Properties will display. 3. Click on the Recover tab. On the Recover tab click on the Recover Now button and select the Yes button to continue. NOTE: If you have more than 1 terminal you will have to perform the steps above for each terminal. 4. After the polling has completed switch back to PC2000 and from the File menu select Retrieve Polled Data. 5. Go to the Timecard and check the polled data. Any edits made in the timecard prior to running the database repair will have to be made again. |
