History
Lathem was founded in 1919 by George Lathem and his son, Louie Lathem, Sr. as the southeast distributor for the Simplex Time Recorder Company. In 1947 the company manufactured its first time recorder designed by Harrison Hooper. To date, the company remains a family-owned and operated business through four generations.
Ownership
The company is still held by the Lathem and Hooper families. William C. Lathem serves as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer.
