Lathem Launches Version 2 of MasterLink Software

Vista Compatibility and Network Connectivity are key features of Version 2.

Masterlink 2.0ATLANTA, Ga. - February 1, 2008 --
Lathem Time Corp., one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of time management products for business, launches Version 2.0 of its Masterlink software used to manage its LTR8-512 series master clocks. Lathem's wall clock systems allow schools, hospitals, manufacturing, and government facilities to synchronize time to the exact second. Benefits include teaching students to be punctual and minimize disruptions due to tardiness, allowing physicians to rely on accurate time to determine when to check patients and administer medicine, and helping manufacturers improve productivity and reduce unnecessary confusion due to time- related delays.

"Our master clock users wanted a more user-friendly way to manage bell schedules and update their master clock systems," said Jim Owen, product manager for Lathem's Wall Clock and Institutional Systems. "Masterlink 2.0 gives them complete control from a remote desktop PC using an easy-to-use interface."

Masterlink 2.0 is a Windows-based application that works on the latest Microsoft platforms, including Vista. The software is scalable to meet the user's needs from one master clock system to clusters of multiple master clock systems across an enterprise or school system. New with Version 2.0 is an Ethernet option for communicating and updating time with master clocks across a local or wide area network. Masterlink 2.0 supports all LTR8 series master clocks with firmware 5.1 or greater.
